Cynthia
Errett has participated in the
Artisan's Christmas show for 3
years. After moving from Colorado 6
years ago she took up knitting after
a long absence. Her love of wool and
fiber arts has grown from fulled
(felted) wool totes and handbags to
include pincushions of wool and
broaches made from wool roving. This
past year brought the addition of
fulled baby sweaters and jackets.
They are hand appliqued in whimsical
designs and topped with novel
buttons and beads. The sizes range
from 0 months to size 6.
In
addition to the Goat Crossing show
her work can be seen at Wild Apples
in Baraboo, and as a vendor at
various quilt shows throughout
Wisconsin.
She
lives and works in La Valle and
enjoys the leisurely pace of a small
Wisconsin village after the hectic
pace of the big city (Denver). Her
love of color has found wings in the
wonderful colors of the landscape in
her adopted state.
